Education: Brian completed his Bachelor’s of Science degree from the University of Connecticut in 2008. He continued his education at UConn and completed his Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy in 2009. Brian joined PTSMC of Avon in June 2009, and became partner of the Windsor office in February 2012.
Clinical Interests: Brian holds a Certification as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist. In 2010, he completed training in the Graston Technique for management of soft tissue injuries. In 2011, Brian became certified as a Functional Movement Screen (FMS) exercise professional to identify dysfunctional movement patterns and asymmetries within the body. In 2012, he certified with the International Academy of Orthopedic Medicine in Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy. In March 2014, Brian certified with the Titleist Performance Institute as a golf fitness instructor. Brian became a Certified Myofascial Trigger Point Therapist in April 2015. He is also a Certified FRC Mobility Specialist.
Education: Jason graduated from the University of Connecticut with three degrees; a Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Genetic Sciences in 2002, a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy in 2007, and a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy in 2008. Additionally in July 2009, Jason had an article published in Physiotherapy. The topic was on hip and knee flexion of lead and trail limbs during ascent of a step of different heights by normal adults. He joined PTSMC in August 2008 in our Watertown clinic, and was promoted to Director of our Stafford office in February 2012.
Clinical Interests: In 2011, he completed training in the Graston Technique; used for the management of soft tissue injuries. Jason specializes in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy and is also trained in biomechanical foot assessment and orthotic management. Jason is also a Certified Myofascial Trigger Point Therapist and most recently, he became certified through the Titleist Performance Institute to address the needs of golfers of all ages.
Education: Meaghan graduated from the University of Hartford with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2012. She continued her education at the University of Hartford where she completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree in 2015. Meaghan joined PTSMC of Windsor in August 2015.
Clinical Interests: Meaghan has particular interest in manual therapy for athletes, especially those who participate in overhead sports such as baseball, tennis or volleyball. In April of 2015, Meaghan completed training in instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM).Most recently, Meaghan became a Certified Myofascial Trigger Point Therapist in December 2016.
Fun Facts: Meaghan loves to work out and spend some of her free time at the gym. She also enjoys watching sports, specifically football and hockey.
Education: Mary received her Bachelor of Science in Health Science Studies from Quinnipiac University in 2015. She then received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Arcadia University in January 2018.
Clinical Interests: Mary’s clinical interests are musculoskeletal dysfunctions, joint replacements and post-operative rehabilitation. She really enjoys working with patients who have Parkinson’s Disease and Multiple Sclerosis.
Fun Facts: Mary enjoys weightlifting, calisthenics, boxing, kickboxing and yoga. She also has over 30 succulents and plants at home!
