Education: Kevin completed his Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Vermont in 2002. He joined the Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine Centers team in 2015.
Clinical Interests: Kevin has worked in almost all of the various physical therapy settings, including acute care, home care, skilled nursing and outpatient physical therapy. Before joining PTSMC, he has held many site director and management positions for other organizations and has grown his clinical skill set and expertise to include sports medicine, orthopedics, vestibular therapy, geriatrics, gait and balance, and orthotic bracing and prosthetics.
When he’s not practicing in the clinic, he likes to take his clinical skills on the road with Dreaming and Working Together, a non-profit organization of medical volunteers helping the underserved population of Lima, Peru. They provide rehabilitative and prosthetic services.
Fun Facts: Kevin enjoys spending time outdoors with his family. He is a very high-energy guy and loves to explore New England on new adventures!
Education: Channing received his Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from Central Connecticut State University in 2013. In 2017, he received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Hartford.
Training & Certifications: Channing is a certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist through the American College of Sports Medicine.
Clinical Interests: Channing’s clinical interests include sports-related injuries, specifically CrossFit athletes and golfers. He is also interested in manual therapy techniques.
Fun Facts: In his spare time, Channing enjoys Olympic Weightlifting and is also an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Boston Celtics!
Training & Certifications: Ben completed his Massage Therapy training in July of 2017 at The Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy. Prior to this in 2013, he trained to become a certified NASM Professional Fitness Trainer.
Clinical Interests: Ben has worked at the Greater Hartford YMCA as a Professional Fitness Trainer for the past four years, as well as providing private training sessions. In pursuit of taking his knowledge and skillset to the next level to help people improve their overall well-being, Ben decided to pursue a license in Massage Therapy.
Ben came to PTSMC to work closely with physical therapists to provide orthopedic massages as well as injury rehabilitation. He is devoted to providing patients with a variety of massage choices, including Swedish Relaxation and Deep Tissue massage. He is currently working on adding Advanced Myofascial Massage and Thai Massage to his repertoire.
Fun Facts: Outside of PTSMC, Ben spends his time with his family in a wide variety of outdoor activities. Some of his favorites include obstacle course racing and skydiving. He is currently learning American Sign Language to assist patients with hearing modalities.
