Scott Olmstead , PTA, ATC/L, CSCS

Education: Scott received his Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from the University of New Brunswick in Canada, in 1991. He also obtained his Master’s in Human Performance Work at Southern Connecticut State University in 1993. He completed the Physical Therapy Assistant program at Springfield Technical Community College in May of 2007. Scott has been providing sports medicine services at high schools and physical therapy clinics for over 15 years. Scott joined PTSMC in January of 2005, and became partner in January 2009.

Clinical Interests: He is certified in strength and conditioning. Scott has also completed training in the Graston Technique; used for the management of soft tissue injuries. He also has expertise in improving performance and rehabilitation in golfers.

Assistant Director

Michelle A. Gallerani , PT, MSPT

Education: Michelle received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology cum laude from Sacred Heart University in 2000. She also received her Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from Sacred Heart University in 2003. Michelle has been working in outpatient orthopedics since August 2003 and joined PTSMC in Janurary 2005. She was promoted to Assistant Director in the New London office in May 2013.

Clinical Interests: She enjoys working with athletes and pediatric patients, as well as pregnant and postpartum women. Michelle is a certified clinical instructor. She is also certified in the Graston Technique used for the management of soft tissue injuries and she has a Certificate of Academic Proficiency Achievement (CAPA) in Pregnancy and Postpartum.

Fun Facts:  Michelle is the proud mother of a son, born in 2009, and a daughter, born in 2011.


Jeff Daley , PT, DPT

Education: Jeff graduated from Sacred Heart Universty with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2011, and a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2014. Jeff completed two of his clinical affiliations at PTSMC New London and Westbrook.  He officially joined PTSMC New London in August 2014.

Clinical Interests: Jeff enjoys treating all varieties of diagnoses, but has a special interest in rehabilitating and training overhead throwing athletes. He also has a special interest helping treat patients with burn injuries.

Fun Facts: When Jeff is not in the office he loves to go boating and waterskiiing, running, and playing golf. His favorite sports teams are the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots.

Traci Riviere , PT, DPT

Education: Traci received a Bachelor’s degree in Health Science in 2009, and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2011 from Quinnipiac University. Traci began as Physical Therapy Aide with PTSMC in 2005, and became clinician with the company in December 2011.

Clinical Interests: She enjoys treating all patients, but has a special interest in post-surgical shoulder and knee patients. Traci is certified in the Graston Technique, used for the management of soft tissue injuries and Trigger Point Dry Needling, which is used to treat myofascial pain and muscle dysfunction.

Fun Facts: Traci has a twin sister, she loves soccer, and her favorite TV show of all time is ‘Friends’.

Hailey Lugo , LAT, ATC - Waterford High School

Education: Hailey graduated from Barry University in 2017 with a Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training. She currently works in our PTSMC New London clinic and also serves as the Athletic Trainer for Waterford High School.

Clinical Interests: Hailey is interested in sports-related injuries, specifically baseball. She is also interested in pediatric orthopedic surgery and concussion management and prevention.

Fun Facts: Hailey has been with PTSMC for six years! She first started as an aide in the New London office while she was still in high school.

Elizabeth Saunders , MS, LAT, ATC - East Lyme High School

Education: Liz graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Southern Connecticut State University in 2015. She then went on to earn her Master of Science in Athletic Training from Ohio University in 2017.

Clinical Interests: Liz enjoys working with patients of all backgrounds and orthopedic diagnoses. She is passionate about the improvement of patient-centered healthcare. Her clinical interests include neuroplasticity following peripheral injury and psychosocial aspects of rehabilitation, especially for athletes. Liz is an active medical researcher and hopes to publish her findings in the near future.

Fun Facts: In her free time, Liz enjoys taking adventures with her dog, Benji. She also enjoys cooking, writing, playing guitar, and all sorts of outdoor activities!
