Education: Fred graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from Quinnipiac College in 1982. He later completed his Masters Degree in Healthcare Management from the Hartford Graduate Center.
Training & Certifications: Fred is a certified Manual Therapist (MTC), earning that distinction in 1991 from the University of St. Augustine. Fred also earned Board Certification by the American College for Physical Therapy Specialties as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist in 1992 and again in 2001.
Experience: Fred was the Chair of the CPTA Student Affairs Committee and former Advisor of the CPTA’s Student Special Interest Group. From 1994-2007, Fred was a member of the Clinical Faculty in the Orthopedic Master’s Degree program at Quinnipiac University. He is a lecturer in areas of spinal manual therapy, chronic pain management and aquatic therapy.
Clinical Interests: Orthopedic conditions, spinal disorders, neurological conditions, pain management, dizziness & vestibular disorders, manual therapy and TMJ disorders.
Fun Facts: Fred enjoys fishing, kayaking, cycling and hiking. He is the nephew of Boston Celtic great & Basketball Hall of Famer, John Havlicek.
Education: Bill is a proud University of Connecticut grad, completing his Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy in 1972.
Clinical Interests: Bill has several strong clinical interests that have influenced his continuing education and training during his professional tenure. Such clinical interests are prosthetics & orthotics, specifically of the foot, posture & alignment, gait & balance, rehabilitation of spinal disorders, and the management of neurological disorders. His favorite part of being a physical therapist is celebrating in the successful outcomes of challenging patients.
Fun Facts: When Bill is not in the office, he enjoys many outdoor activities such as cycling, paddleboarding, hiking and snowshoeing. He competed in the 2015 Hammerfest Triathlon at Owenego Beach Club on a relay team with his daughter and son-in-law. Bill is also the very proud grandfather of two!
Education: Glen holds two Bachelors degrees; one in Physical Education from the University of Bridgeport and the other in Physical Therapy from the University of Connecticut. After completing his degree at UCONN, Glen completed his Master of Science in Exercise Physiology degree at the University of Arizona. In 2009, Glen earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Marymount University. He is also a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) with the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
Clinical Interests: Glen is clinically passionate about orthopaedics. He is certified clinician in Cyriax, Maitland, Mulligan and McConnell manual therapy techniques.
Fun Facts: Glen is an avid racquetball player, enjoys playing golf, and is a licensed wrestling coach with USA Wrestling. He is married and has two children; one a Penn State grad and the other a Rhode Island college grad.
Education: Emily received her Bachelor of Science in Allied Health from the University of Connecticut in 2011. She then continued at UCONN to receive her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2015.
Clinical Interests: Emily enjoys helping people get back to doing what they love. She particularly loves treating post-surgical, spinal dysfunction and women’s health patients. Emily has completed a great deal of continuing education on the Mulligan concept; the concept of mobilizations with movement, which is now a popular treatment for musculoskeletal injuries.
Fun Facts: Emily played tennis for UCONN during her undergrad. In her free time, she enjoys continuing to play tennis and softball. Emily is an avid hiker and has set out to hike all of the “4,000 footers” in New England.
