Robert Bass

Robert Bass MPT

Robert began working as a physical therapy aide at our Guilford office during his graduate year at Quinnipiac, where he obtained an even greater base of knowledge of the profession. Upon completing his studies, he started working for our Waterbury office as a full time Physical Therapist. Robert has worked in the high school setting performing sports assessments on student athletes, and has been able to care for clients of all ages during his time in the city of Waterbury.

Robert received his Masters in Physical Therapy (MPT) from Quinnipiac University in 2004. There he obtained an extensive orthopedic background and performed over 10 months of hands on training.


Christopher Bellizzi

Christopher Bellizzi

Chris received his Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training from Quinnipiac University in 1996. He also received his certification in Massage Therapy in 1993 from the Connecticut Center of Massage Therapy. Chris has 11 years of experience in the Sports Medicine field. Chris has a wealth of knowledge in injury prevention, ergonomic assessment and understanding of the physical affects of work activities as it relates to soft tissue injury. Chris has also developed physical readiness and conditioning programs for the United States Coast Guard Academy.

Chris has led the development of PTSMC’s work conditioning and industrial athletic training program. He currently consults with Northeast Utilities to provide injury assessments, ergonomic analysis and job specific stretching and exercise programs.

David Cegelka

David Cegelka, PT

David received his Associates in Science-Physical Therapy Assistant from Becker College in 1979. He received his Bachelor's in Science- Physical Therapy from The University of Connecticut in 1994.

David is an assessment specialist in Functional Capacity Assessments. His completed continuing education has focused on work hardening, job site assessments, and preventive education in back injury and repetitive motion injuries. His clinical interests are in sports and injury rehabilitation of back and shoulder injuries. He has experience in rotator cuff repair, knee and ACL rehabilitation. Dave has extensive experience in Home Care treatment and geriatric care.

Erin Walsh

Erin Walsh, MSPT

Erin received her Bachelor's of Science degree in Physical Therapy in 1994 from Quinnipiac University. She also received her Master's degree in Physical Therapy from Quinnipiac University in 2005 with a focus on Orthopedics.

Erin has worked for 11 years in Physical Therapy in the outpatient setting. Her continuing education includes an internship at Stride custom orthotics for evaluating and casting orthotics. She attended the Cincinnati Sports Medicine Annual Knee and Shoulder conference and is currently attending a course on Current Evaluation and Manipulation of the Spine given by The University of St. Augustine, Stanley Paris.

Her clinical interests include all scopes of Orthopedics including work related injuries, repetitive injuries, athletic injuries and foot and ankle orthotic casting.
