Steve Platt

Steve Platt PT, BS

Steve received his Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Physiology from Ithaca College in 1994. He also received a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Hartford in 1998. He is currently a candidate for advanced Masters in Physical Therapy at Quinnipiac University and is preparing for OCS examination.

Steven has 10 years experience working in the healthcare field. Steven's interest has been in Sports Medicine and he has worked with athletes on the professional, collegiate and high school levels. Steven has taken many continuing education courses with a focus on Maitland, Cyriax, McKenzie and Mulligan theories of practice.

Alyson Cain

Alyson Cain, MSPT, ATC/L

Alyson graduated from Quinnipiac University in 2002 with a Bachelors degree in Health Science with a concentration in Athletic Training. She worked with the Men’s Baseball and Women’s Basketball athletes of the University of Hartford as an Athletic Trainer after graduation.

In May 2007 Alyson graduated from the University of Hartford with a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy. Alyson joined PTSMC in May of 2007 where she treats all age groups from young athletes to seniors.


Michael Eldridge

Michael Eldridge ATC

After serving four years with the United States Marine Corps, Mike had a desire to enter the Allied Health field as an Athletic Trainer. After graduating Southern Connecticut State University's Athletic Training Education Program in 2000, Mike started his career at Wilton High School as their full-time Athletic Trainer. Serving one year at Wilton, Mike transitioned to the private school sector, joining St. Luke's School in New Canaan, for four years as an Athletic Trainer, as well as teaching ninth grade health curriculum.

Mike joined PTSMC in September 2005, as an Athletic Trainer, where he is providing the care and prevention of athletic injuries for Westbrook High School.


Sue Ginsberg

Sue Ginsberg, MSPT

Susan received her Bachelors of Science in Physical Therapy in 1992 from Ithaca College and her Masters of Science in Orthopedic Physical Therapy from Quinnipiac University in 2002.

Susan has been in clinical practice for 13 years with 11 years focused on the orthopedic and sports medicine populations. Susan has been with Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine Centers in Guilford, CT since October 2004.



Michelle Kijewski

Michelle Kijewski MPT, Cert. MDT

Michelle received her Bachelor of Health Science from Quinnipiac University, Hamden, CT in 1999 and her Masters in Physical Therapy from Quinnipiac University in 2001.

Michelle has been in clinical practice working primarily with orthopedic and sports medicine populations, specializing in treatment of the spine. She is certified in McKenzie mechanical diagnosis and treatment of the spine. Michelle has been with Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine Centers in Guilford, CT since February 2006.


Beacky Passante

Becky Passante, P.T.

Becky received her Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Connecticut, in 1994. She has taken advanced orthopedic masters classes and a masters level foot and ankle biomechanics course at Quinnipiac University.

Becky has been in clinical practice for 11 years, working primarily with orthopedic and sports medicine populations. She is Cyriax certified and also enjoys working with women experiencing low back pain/sciatica during pregnancy.

Becky has been with Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine Centers in Guilford, CT since December 2002.

Joel Paul

Joel Paul MSPT

Joel received his Bachelor's Degree from Sacred Heart University in 2001 in Human Movement and Sports Science. He also Graduated with Master's degree in Physical Therapy from Sacred Heart University in 2003.

Joel is a current member of NATA and APTA

Stacey Lynn Schofield

Stacey Lynn Schofield, ATC/L, CSCS

Stacey received her Bachelor’s degree in Health and Fitness Management from Eastern Connecticut State University in 2004. She completed her Master’s degree in Athletic Training from Bridgewater State College in 2006. Stacey was the Athletic Trainer for the Connecticut Crush, Women’s Professional Football team.

Stacey is a member of the National Athletic Training Association and is a certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. She joined Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine Centers in August of 2007.
