Pete graduated cum laude from Ithaca College in 1992, with a Bachelor of Science degree in physical therapy. He has over 18 years of experience in the rehabilitation of musculoskeletal, orthopedic and sports medicine populations. Pete has worked with people of all ages including all levels of athletes from recreational to professional. He has a broad clinical background including the McKenzie, Maitland and Cyriax theories of practice. He has continued to be an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association. Pete managed a successful orthopedic and sports medicine facility in New York prior to relocating to Connecticut to become part of the PTSMC team in May 2009. In 2011 he became trained in the Graston Technique for the management of soft tissue injuries. He became a partner in October 2010.
Kasey graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Providence College in May 2008. In May 2011 she graduated from the Universityof Rhode Island with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree. Kasey is looking to pursue continuing education opportunities in manual therapy, vestibular rehabilitation and the Graston Technique. She hopes to earn both her Orthopedic Specialty certification and McKenzie certification within the next 5 years. Kasey joined PTSMC in July 2011.
Marlene completed her Bachelor of Arts degree from Roger Williams University in 1991. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Tunxis Community College with a Physical Therapist Assistant degree in December 2010. Some of her clinical interests include health, wellness and injury prevention. She enjoys helping patients return to activities they love, by providing them strategies that incorporate healthy living into a busy lifestyle. Marlene is a member of the APTA, and is a certified exercise instructor and personal trainer through the AFAA. In 2011, she completed training in the Graston Technique; used for the management of soft tissue injuries. Marlene joined PTSMC in March 2011.
