Joe received his Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts and Science in Biology from the University of Connecticut in 1988. He also received his Bachelor's degree in Allied Health Physical Therapy from the University of Connecticut in 1991. Joe has 19 years of experience working in outpatient physical therapy in Waterbury and Watertown. His interests are in sports medicine, specifically treatment of the shoulder, knee and back. Joe has taken several continuing education courses including Cyriax, McKenzie, Mulligan, Muscle Energy Techniques and Functional Rehabilitation. Joe is involved in local organizations including Rotary International and Watertown Youth Soccer. Joe joined PTSMC in November 2004. He became a partner in the Watertown facility with Pete Catuccio in 2005. Joe and Pete opened the Naugatuck office in 2008.
Pete graduated from Central Connecticut State University in 1992, with a Bachelor’s of Science in Education degree in Sports Medicine (Athletic Training), and Physical Education/Health. Pete completed his NATA certification to be an ATC in 1992. He attended Arapahoe Community College and graduated in 2005 with an A.A.S as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA). Pete has worked in the healthcare field since 1992 primarily in a sports medicine physical therapy clinics and as a Certified Athletic Trainer. Pete also has his strength and conditioning certification (CSCS) which he achieved in 2003. During the summer Pete directs speed and agility camps at local high schools focusing on injury prevention and performance enhancement. Currently, he is pursing certification in performance enhancement through the NASM and certification as a McKenzie clinician. In 2011, he completed training in the Graston Technique; used for the management of soft tissue injuries. Pete joined PTSMC in October of 2005, and became a partner in the Watertown facility with Joe Caligiuri. Pete and Joe opened the Naugatuck office in 2008.
